DECAY DETECTION Frontier Forestry Limited operates one of the few 'Picus' Sonic Tomographs with calliper systems in Scotland. This new technology from Germany is able to 'see' inside the tree and calculate the extent of decay. It is an extremely important tool in the Hazard Evaluation of trees. It has 'saved' a number of valuable amenity and heritage trees from needless felling and consequently saved our clients much money that would be better spent on other valuable tree work.
